Keith Hamilton Gallery
Welcome to my website
My name is Keith Hamilton and I was born, lived and worked in Liverpool before moving to Royal Tunbridge Wells in 1986.
I started painting using oil, pastels and charcoal, sketching a whole variety of objects and scenes. I then moved onto acrylics, which I found more flexible. I now use a variety of media including watercolour, ink, pen and pencil, but still use more acrylic than anything else.
If asked to describe my style, I would say that I do not have any particular style as I like to use new tools, media and styles.
I try to cover a wide range of subjects but am particularly interested in jazz, dance, seascapes, landscapes, steam trains and townscapes (particularly New York). I also produce collages, mainly from 19th century books and encyclopaedia. As you will see, my website roughly follows these categories with 'earlier pictures' showing paintings I no longer possess.
I hope you enjoy looking at my paintings and I welcome any feedback (rude or otherwise!). If you are interested in any of my paintings or have any queries, please get in touch through my contact form, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Please feel free to pass details of my website onto anyone who might be interested.
